The Site Safety officer will facilitate a safety team consisting of Safety Specialist and Safety Coordinator and Onsite first aid Associates. The assigned person needs to establish safety leadership development plans along with executing these plans for all Safety Associates on their team. The leader establishes safety team expectations and delivers timely appropriate feedback about performance to safety teams while checking they maintain the Amazon safety professional core competencies.

Safety Officer Responsibilities

The team member should monitor operations to verify proper implementation of all safety guidelines set by Amazon.
The sites need to perform evaluation of their performance levels based on the safety policy specifications. All detected deficiencies need to be followed by a defined implementation plan to resolve identified shortcomings at the site.
Operation will receive timely successful projects from our team.
Safety professionals should evaluate safety metrics alongside incident patterns to track risks allowing strategic resource distribution into areas that need the most safety protection.
Regular site safety audits must detect every non-compliance equipment and process existing at the site. Applications need development to remove exposure to potential risks coupled with injury prevention solutions for different fulfillment centers.
The organization should audit their recordkeeping system as well as Global Safety Database entries to demonstrate fulfillment of international safety criteria along with regional laws.
Company representatives need to audit the professional environment system along with worker conduct to confirm that all audit practices deliver precise and stable assessment results.
Safety Associates under your responsibility must receive management and mentoring at the assigned Fulfillment Center.
Invest time in FC facilities to hear recommendations about safety improvements from Safety personnel and Associates and both operational and managerial staff. The process of progress and resolution communication needs to be open for all suggestions.
Site leadership together with Associates need proper training about their policy-related duties. All required safety training requires evaluation of delivery methods through qualification assessment of trainers alongside evaluating its effectiveness and training quality.

Basic Qualifications

2+ years previous experience in Environment, Health & Safety or ME in Industrial Safety Engineering
The position requires an engineering degree or related field together with a bachelor’s level qualification for admission.
An employee should have experience within reputable organizations that are either government-funded or private.
Experience managing multiple direct reports.
Must be flexible regarding shifts.
The professional has detailed expertise in executing both lean principles and operational process improvements within established work environments.

Preferred Qualifications

Processing facilities with safety programs that support both managerial and non-managerial personnel should demonstrate at least 200-worker strength under one site.
Master’s degree preferred
Employment at a rapidly evolving company which maintains a high operational speed.
Government Certified Safety Professional preferred
The candidate needs to demonstrate superior communication competencies through text and speech and must feel comfortable while interacting with site leadership.
The employee demonstrates competency in creating and executing departmental targets and approaches.
The person should possess strong analytical abilities and demonstrate their problem-solving capabilities.
Strong ability to function effectively in high-speed environments that experience frequent changes between circumstances and direction along with strategic shifts
