Site Safety Coordinator in Roseville, California
Baker Electric is hiring a Site Safety Coordinator in Roseville, California to oversee safety compliance and field operations on a specific construction project. This position ensures that all safety plans, inspections, and training are executed in alignment with Baker’s safety standards and regulatory requirements.
️ Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support on-site safety compliance and actively monitor daily field activities.
- Spend 80% to 90% of work hours conducting field observations with crews.
- Conduct site-specific safety orientations for new personnel on-site.
- Implement both corporate and site-specific safety plans effectively.
- Track and report inventory for PPE, water, first-aid, and related supplies.
- Assist with field equipment inspections and safety checks.
- Recommend corrective actions for any unsafe equipment or practices identified.
- Coordinate and deliver site safety training sessions based on needs.
- Maintain a complete employee training matrix with required certification records.
- Support site management in investigating incidents and preparing reports.
- Maintain all safety documentation in organized Safety Binders.
- Coach teams on hazard recognition and corrective action using the corporate safety process.
- Act as liaison with general contractors, Cal OSHA, insurance providers, and other regulatory agencies.
- Attend daily safety huddles and meetings on behalf of the safety team.
- Verify initial confined space readings and oversee entry procedures daily as entry supervisor.
- Available to work overtime or alternate shifts as needed due to project timelines.
Required Experience and Education
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on safety experience, preferably on active construction sites.
- Confined space experience is mandatory.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills with general contractors and project teams.
- Willingness to travel and stay overnight at remote construction sites as required.
