Responsibilities:
- Foster and uphold safety as a center fee, riding a positive protection lifestyle across the power.
- Assist in resolving a wide range of EHS-associated issues to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
- Maintain and manage EHS data series, reporting structures, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Analyze safety metrics to decorate EHS rules, systems, and packages.
- Align EHS metrics and first-rate practices with the Vertiv Operating System (VOS).
- Ensure new equipment, machinery, workstations, and assembly lines meet all protection and environmental regulations and Vertiv excellent practices.
- Provide steerage at the collection, sharing, and implementation of EHS first-rate practices throughout the power.
- Advise the EHS Manager on facility risks, incidents, movements, applications, and regulations.
- Establish, screen, and improve EHS packages, rules, and methods to mitigate dangers and goal for zero accidents.
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk tests in compliance with regulations.
- Support employee safety committees, safety concept packages, and promotional protection activities.
- Develop and implement EHS schooling programs for employees.
- Maintain critical safety statistics, which include Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Job Hazard Analyses (JSA), and safety training documentation.
- Manage and replace incident and damage records as required by using OSHA and Vertiv.
- Ensure work regions are ergonomically optimized for worker safety and efficiency.
- Engage with all organizational levels to promote protection focus and compliance.
- Conduct incident investigations, decide root reasons, and put into effect corrective actions.
- Assist with Workers’ Compensation claims management.
- Maintain a robust know-how of production safety requirements, which include:
- Machine guarding
- Welding and brazing
- Powder coat and autophoretic painting
- Powered business automobiles
- Material storage and loading docks
- Electrical test facilities
- Assembly line operations
- Oversee and help the Emergency and Crisis Management Response Program and the Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT).
- Manage the contractor safety software, ensuring compliance with Vertiv protection policies.
- Perform different associated responsibilities as required.
- Primarily a Monday-Friday day shift role, however a few after-hours and weekend work can be necessary for off-shift schooling, emergencies, or special initiatives.
- Occasional travel required for education, cross-facility inspections, and audits.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Management or equal education and enjoy.
- 1-3 years of EHS revel in in a production placing.
- Strong expertise of manufacturing regulatory compliance requirements.
- Proven potential to speak successfully throughout all levels of control and staff.
