Position summary:
Consistent safety assistance functionality for the Safety Coordinator/Instructor exists through multiple safety responsibilities such as training development and delivery and instruction on operations while conducting guided audits and inspections and document maintenance as well as addressing associate concerns about safety and health.
Educational requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- The candidate should have completed college-level classes as a bonus.
- Completion of a Train-the-Trainer type program or willingness to successfully complete
- Completion of an OSHA course or willingness to successful complete
- Skills and experience:
- The candidate requires minimum experience of two to three years from working in manufacturing operations.
- The candidate needs both good written and spoken communication abilities.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
- This job candidate possesses successful experience in delivering educational content through classroom training formats to multiple-size groups together with individual training sessions.
- Work ethic with strength and safety at its core can be provided by the candidate.
- The candidate holds basic manufacturing work-related skills.
- A worker needs experience with Microsoft Office software functions.
- Excellent development and lecture presentation skills.
- Self-generated initiative enables this role to search for team-based opportunities which decrease risk exposure and foster co-worker enthusiasm across departments.
- Working under supervision enables this role to collaborate with other departments for effort coordination to achieve effective and efficient training of associates.
- Master OSHA regulations to conduct audits and deliver training to associates in addition to having basic understanding of these standards.
- Demonstrate effective organizational skills.
- The candidate demonstrates capability to earn safety & health certifications.
Essential duties:
- Interface departments will receive safety support at the direction of Safety Leadership.
- The department needs someone to function as operator and line supervisor liaison.
- Safety Leadership directs all audits of activities and document assessments.
- The delivery of safety training for health and safety topics needs to be completed with effectiveness.
- The current ISO training database functions to track which job descriptions demand regulatory training thus enabling entry of data into the system and supporting supervision in their responsibility to keep employees trained.
- Inspections of employee work quality should assess their adherence to safe work standards for reporting to safety leadership.
- Support the development of new H&S compliance procedures together with needed documents.
- Employees will receive safety training materials through direct provision or the supervision of training sessions.
- The team should help with incident responses as well as conduct investigations before pursuing necessary follow-up activities.
- Health & Safety findings require thorough monitoring and Safety Leadership must receive all reported findings regarding Corrective/ Preventative action progress.
- The program needs support in performing office duties for Safety Connections/ Safety
- Corrections/Critical Risk Surveys functions.
- Support the development of new methods which enhance compliance performance.
- Staff members should demonstrate all required safe behaviors while teaching others proper safety procedures.
- Staff must follow all Interface policies together with established procedures.
- Interface employees must understand and endorse their sustainability commitment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Safety Leadership.
