Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and Monitor Safety Policies: Ensure that unit safety policies, processes, procedures, and guidelines are effectively followed across the organization.
- Provide Safety Expertise: Offer specialized guidance and support to business units on safety-related matters.
- Conduct Safety Inspections and Audits: Perform regular safety inspections and audits to verify compliance and identify potential risks or safety deviations.
- Manage Incident Investigations: Oversee accident and near-miss investigations, collaborate with line management and technical specialists, and prepare or verify investigation reports.
- Corrective and Preventive Actions: Assist in defining and implementing corrective and preventive actions based on audit and investigation findings, and monitor their effectiveness.
- Safety Training & Awareness: Deliver safety training, conduct toolbox talks, and disseminate safety-related information across the business unit.
- External Stakeholder Interaction: Liaise with external stakeholders (clients, authorities) on safety matters, under the direction of the Safety Manager.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Health & Safety Management, or a relevant field.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a safety role, with a strong understanding of safety management systems.
- Certifications (Preferred): ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 Lead Auditor/Internal Auditor certification will be an added advantage.
- Skills: Strong communication, training, and organizational skills. Ability to effectively deliver safety programs and foster a safety culture within the team.
- Language Proficiency: Excellent command of English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
