Your Responsibilities
As a Safety and Environmental Intern, you’ll play an integral role in creating a safe and sustainable workplace. Your tasks will include:
- Safety Compliance:
- Conduct safety audits and inspections to meet workplace standards.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring safety protocols.
- Help organize training sessions on hazard identification, emergency planning, and PPE usage.
- Document safety incidents, support investigations, and recommend corrective actions.
- Environmental Initiatives:
- Implement programs focused on waste management, energy efficiency, and pollution prevention.
- Track and report environmental performance metrics such as energy use, water consumption, and waste reduction.
- Contribute to sustainability initiatives by collecting and analyzing data for environmental impact assessments.
- Prepare reports, maintain accurate records, and assist with regulatory audits.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Enrollment in a degree program related to Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, or a similar field.
- A strong interest in safety, environmental compliance, and sustainability practices.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
