Role Overview
This position is central to ensuring the smooth operation of safety programs and compliance protocols. It involves organizing safety documentation, supporting training initiatives, managing equipment logistics, and helping maintain a culture of health and safety excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep safety procedures and documentation current and audit-ready at all times.
- Compile monthly safety performance data and manage audit documentation.
- Track, reorder, and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) inventory and supplies.
- Manage PPE vending machine systems and update safety equipment records.
- Review Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) data and maintain accurate chemical inventory and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Support compliance training by preparing materials, tracking participation, and maintaining attendance and certification records.
- Organize medical surveillance testing schedules, such as audiograms and respirator use assessments.
- Coordinate internal safety campaigns, distribute safety posters, and update communication boards.
- Report workplace incidents and Workers’ Compensation cases using approved reporting systems.
- Review safety-related invoices, process payments, and reconcile American Express (AMEX) charge reports.
- Act as a reliable point of contact for safety-related questions or concerns from different departments.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in an administrative or customer service setting.
