About the Role

As a Safety Coordinator at ABM Industries, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our station-level safety, security, and quality programs are properly executed. You’ll help foster an environment where compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement are top priorities—contributing directly to employee well-being and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Do

  • Support and manage safety, security, and quality initiatives at the station level.
  • Monitor compliance with regulations including OSHA, EPA, DOT, CFR, FAA, and TSA.
  • Train employees on safety protocols and job-specific procedures.
  • Conduct regular safety observations, audits, and prepare reports for management.
  • Maintain records such as OSHA logs, incident reports, and inspection data.
  • Promote a proactive culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with drug testing and driver MVR checks.
  • Assist in incident investigations and corrective action follow-up.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, supervisors, clients, and passengers.
  • Support additional safety-related duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a professional who brings both technical knowledge and strong communication skills to the role.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of safety, security, and compliance standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook, Word.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (bilingual required).
  • Able to interpret safety documents, procedures, and manuals.
  • Capable of lifting 50 lbs and standing/walking throughout the shift.
  • Comfortable working in varied indoor and outdoor environments.

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience in safety management or coordination is a plus.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Majority of the shift requires standing and walking.
  • Ability to lift and handle materials of 50 lbs or more.
  • Work conditions may include exposure to various weather and moderate noise levels.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Must comply with ABM uniform and grooming standards.
  • Must wear ABM or client-issued ID badge at all times.
