Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Stay updated on corporate, local, state, and federal safety and environmental standards through training, seminars, and compliance literature
- Develop and enforce safety and environmental policies to maintain regulatory alignment
- Conduct audits, site inspections, and incident investigations to identify hazards and recommend improvements
- Plan, organize, and lead training sessions related to safety, environmental procedures, and compliance awareness
- Review safety reports, injury statistics, and audit outcomes with management and employees; provide action plans for improvement
- Encourage safety engagement through communication, committee involvement, and recognition programs
- Interpret and apply applicable safety regulations; coordinate with regulatory bodies for reporting and permitting
- Administer workers’ compensation claims and oversee interactions with third-party administrators
- Prepare safety-related documentation and maintain accurate records of all compliance activities
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety or a related discipline with 1–3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work history
- Solid understanding of OSHA and other relevant safety regulations
- Experience in manufacturing or an industrial setting in a safety-focused role
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities across all organizational levels
- Demonstrated ability to teach and influence others effectively
