Educational Background
A strong academic foundation in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biochemistry, or Safety Engineering is essential.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in these or closely related disciplines will be considered.
Applicants holding an advanced qualification in Food Technology, Environmental Sciences, or Chemical Engineering will have a competitive advantage.
Professional Experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment—particularly in sectors like Oil & Gas, Pharmaceuticals, or
Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)—is essential.
Additionally, over 5 years of hands-on experience managing health and safety systems in either a facility leadership role or as part of a centralized
Quality, Safety & Environment (QSE) governance team is expected.
Familiarity with beverage production, ingredient handling, or packaging operations is highly desirable. A strong understanding of
industry-specific safety protocols and quality systems will be vital for success in this role.
Key Competencies and Skills
- Comprehensive understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Management Systems
- Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Incident Investigation
- Strong background in Workplace Safety Management, Safety Inspections, and Compliance Auditing
- Knowledge of Fire Safety Standards and Engineering Safety Practices
- Effective in Safety Leadership, Risk Assessment, and Emergency Response Planning
- Excellent Communication and Change Management abilities
- Well-versed in current Safety Laws, Standards, and Global Safety Frameworks
