Job Purpose
Company are looking for a dedicated HSEQ Officer to implement Integrated Management System (IMS) policies and procedures across all Enova projects. The role involves conducting health, safety, environmental, energy, and quality inspections, participating in risk assessments and incident investigations, and ensuring compliance with ISO standards and local regulations. Additionally, the role aims to safeguard workforce welfare and wellbeing on-site and in accommodations.
As the main point of contact between site operations and the HSEQ department, the HSEQ Officer will support the team in achieving compliance with international standards, local regulations, and company-specific requirements.
Key Responsibilities
IMS Compliance & Accreditation
- Ensure alignment with IMS policies, procedures, and certifications such as ISO 9001, 14001, 27001, 41001, 45001, and 50001.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of accreditation systems to facilitate seamless HSEQ operations.
Risk Management & Incident Investigation
- Assist in risk assessments, identifying and mitigating non-compliance risks.
- Investigate all incidents and accidents, ensuring timely reporting and resolution.
Site Inspections & Compliance
- Conduct regular inspections across assigned projects to identify unsafe practices and ensure compliance with client requirements and HSEQ guidelines.
- Verify subcontractor risk assessments and compliance prior to work commencement.
Training & Awareness
- Deliver site inductions and refresher training to employees.
- Maintain third-party training records for certifications like First Aid, Firefighting, MEWP licenses, and scaffold inspections.
- Develop and deliver IMS-related training materials to improve company-wide awareness and compliance.
Documentation & Audits
- Ensure all HSEQ-related records and reports are accurately maintained and accessible for audits.
- Identify and update obsolete procedures and formats, supporting the continuous improvement of the IMS documentation system.
- Support internal audits, whether conducted by Enova, clients, or external parties.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Foster relationships with local authorities and customers to align on HSEQ standards and guidelines.
- Manage subcontractor activities, ensuring adherence to HSEQ standards and stopping work if non-compliance is observed.
Qualifications and Skills
Education & Certification
- Diploma in HSEQ or equivalent field.
- Professional certifications like NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) preferred.
Experience
- 3–5 years of HSEQ experience in a dynamic environment.
- Proven expertise in conducting safety inspections and investigations.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001) and auditing processes.
- Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and IMS-related policies.
Personal Skills
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain high standards under pressure.
