Key Responsibilities

Policy Development and Implementation

  • Design, develop, and update comprehensive Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) policies and procedures.
  • Ensure strict adherence to local and international HSSE regulations through regular audits and compliance checks.

Supervision and Technical Guidance

  • Provide expert technical support and mentorship to on-site HSSE teams, fostering a safety-first culture.
  • Oversee operational field activities to ensure compliance with preventive safety measures and company standards.

Risk Assessment and Management

  • Conduct in-depth risk analysis of operational activities to identify potential hazards.
  • Develop and implement effective risk mitigation plans, ensuring a safe working environment.

Training and Awareness Programs

  • Create and deliver engaging HSSE training sessions to build a safety-focused workforce.
  • Organize regular awareness campaigns to enhance understanding and compliance with safety protocols.

Incident Reporting and Documentation

  • Prepare detailed, periodic reports on HSSE performance metrics for management review.
  • Investigate workplace incidents, document findings, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Regulatory Compliance and Collaboration

  • Maintain active collaboration with government agencies, external inspectors, and consultants to ensure full regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee external inspections related to health, safety, and environmental standards.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a closely related discipline.
  • Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent are highly desirable.

Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in HSSE supervision within construction or related industries.

  • Proficient in report preparation and documentation with exceptional attention to detail.
