About the Role
As an HSE Specialist, you’ll play a central role in creating a safer, healthier, and more environmentally friendly workplace. Working alongside the HSE Manager and other safety professionals, you’ll be at the heart of all things Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE).
This isn’t a desk job — you’ll be actively involved on the shop floor, engaging with line managers, experienced operators, and even government authorities. Your work directly impacts the safety of your colleagues and the surrounding community. Every day presents new challenges and opportunities to make real, lasting improvements.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with production teams on day-to-day HSE challenges
- ️ Manage critical safety topics like machine safety, explosion protection, chemical handling, fire prevention, and permits
- Oversee our emergency response strategy and guide the internal emergency team (BHV)
- Support and advise departments after incidents, ensuring lessons are learned and actions are followed up
- Keep the site’s risk inventory up-to-date and ensure all necessary safety actions are implemented
