You’ll work closely with our Site Manager, Supervisors, Quality Assurance Specialists, and Administrators to make sure everyone goes home safe every day.
What You’ll Be Doing

- Enforcing compliance with ANDRITZ’s HSE management system, site-specific HSE plans, and government regulations
- Supporting the Site Manager with implementing safety instructions and ensuring subcontractor compliance
- Acting as the main contact for client HSE teams and local/state regulatory agencies
- Maintaining OSHA 300 logs and posting OSHA 300A forms (U.S. sites only)
- Generating weekly and monthly HSE performance reports
- Conducting safety inspections, toolbox talks, and coordinating safety committees
- Leading root cause analyses for incidents and tracking corrective actions
- Managing SDS registers and overseeing chemical safety
- Supporting emergency response readiness, first aid programs, and fire protection planning
- Ensuring training compliance—including site-specific and EM 385-1-1 requirements
- Supporting internal and external audits and maintaining alignment with OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 standards
What We’re Looking For
We want more than just qualifications—we want someone who brings energy, a solutions-first attitude, and a team-focused mindset. You’re someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, adapts to change, and stays committed for the long haul.
- Minimum 5 years of safety experience on large-scale construction projects, preferably in Hydropower or USACE environments
- Understanding of EM 385-1-1, OSHA standards, and government project protocols
- OSHA 30-hour training (additional 40 hours and yearly CEUs preferred)
- OSHA 510, 500 and BCSP certifications (CHST, ASP, or CSP) are a plus
- Degree or diploma in Health & Safety or equivalent field
- At least 3 years of HSE management experience on construction or industrial sites
- Experience with unionized environments and provincial/state safety legislation
- Strong communication and leadership skills across all levels
