The HSE Senior Supervisor Job in PepsiCo | HSE Jobs in Cork, Ireland presents a strategic opportunity for experienced health, safety, and environmental leaders to take charge at one of PepsiCo’s most significant European manufacturing sites. This role is based in Cork and involves high-impact leadership across compliance, utilities, team management, and sustainability initiatives—particularly within a COMAH upper-tier regulated environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead all EHS operations at PepsiCo’s largest PGCS site by revenue and second-largest by liquid volume output.
- Oversee the Utilities team, including Wastewater Treatment, Reverse Osmosis, and Waste Management, with direct leadership of 6 frontline staff, 3 EHS professionals (2 Level 7, 1 Level 6), and 1 contractor.
- Maintain COMAH Upper-Tier compliance through rigorous application of Management of Change protocols and licensing regulations.
- Drive the site’s water efficiency strategy to meet the company’s 2030 water reduction goals through project development and execution.
- Champion PepsiCo’s “Courage to Care” culture-based safety programme, inspiring teams and embedding safety-first mindsets across all departments.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5–8 years of EHS leadership experience, preferably in an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
- At least 5 years of experience managing standalone EHS functions with team oversight responsibilities.
- 3+ years working at a COMAH site or possessing a formal Process Safety Qualification.
- Comprehensive understanding of Irish Health & Safety at Work legislation and COMAH directives, along with current Environmental regulations.
- Working knowledge of utilities operations including WWTP and purified water systems is desirable.
Leadership & Technical Skills
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage high-performing professionals at multiple levels.
- Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to inspire without direct authority.
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage, motivate, and influence stakeholders at every level of the organization.
- Experienced in auditing and coaching teams through EHSMS evaluations and improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to embed compliance and safety culture through training, mentoring, and consistent follow-through.
