️ Key Responsibilities – HSE Officer Job in SUEZ
- Implement site-specific health, safety, and emergency response plans based on approved HSE policy and objectives.
- Maintain a strong safety presence on-site and promote daily awareness among employees and subcontractors.
- Support departments with compliance implementation across all HSE aspects.
- Enforce Health & Safety rules, instructions, and procedures during all activities.
- Ensure correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safe work practices.
- Manage the subcontractor prevention plan and oversee execution.
- Disseminate Safety Flashes and key safety updates to site personnel.
- Attend pre-job briefings involving high-risk activities (confined space, hot work, working at height).
- Conduct regular audits on isolation procedures and their implementation.
- Deliver safety induction training to visitors and newly onboarded employees.
- Inspect safety signage and verify proper condition and placement.
- Carry out daily and monthly safety equipment checks and submit corresponding reports.
- Hold the authority to stop any activity presenting an imminent safety risk.
- Provide structured feedback to teams on management system performance.
- Track and follow up on all daily work permits and on-site tasks.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 2 to 4 years of professional experience in a dedicated HSE role, preferably within water treatment, industrial, or energy projects.
- Solid understanding of occupational hazards, safety procedures, and accident prevention methodologies.
- Prior exposure to industrial hygiene and hazardous material protocols.
- Proficiency in incident analysis, HSE compliance reporting, and field-level risk evaluation.
- Clear and concise communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Capability to break down complex HSE requirements into actionable steps.
- Strong attention to detail, well-organized, and proactive in identifying safety gaps.
- Physical fitness suitable for work across plant areas and large outdoor sites.
- Previous experience working with Reverse Osmosis (RO) or seawater desalination systems is preferred.
