About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary HSE liaison across all LAHAB industrial projects.
- Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct site safety audits, risk assessments, and hazard evaluations.
- Develop and implement emergency response and preparedness plans.
- Lead investigations for incidents and compile corrective action reports.
- Review method statements and safety documentation for all projects.
- Collaborate with project managers to build comprehensive safety plans.
- Manage FANR documentation and gate pass applications for hazardous materials.
- Coordinate with TIP HSE on any safety-related issues or incidents.
- Deliver safety training programs to ensure staff readiness and awareness.
- Establish and manage a permit-to-work system including JSA, hot work, and confined space entry protocols.
- Implement waste management practices and submit compliance reports to government bodies.
Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum 10+ years in HSE management or safety engineering.
- Preferred: 2+ years in HSE roles within manufacturing, oil & gas, or defense industries.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Professional HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA (preferred).
- Advanced knowledge of UAE HSE laws and safety regulations.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
