Key Responsibilities:
1. EHS Policy Execution & Compliance:
- Implement the company’s EHS policies at the local level, ensuring adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Monitor, record, and analyze Health & Safety and environmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure all required legal documentation, internal policies, and external standards are clearly displayed and up-to-date.
2. Incident Prevention & Management:
- Develop and implement proactive Health & Safety management systems to reduce workplace incidents and accidents.
- Conduct effective incident investigations to identify root causes and enforce timely corrective and preventive actions.
- Organize and lead the workplace Health & Safety committee in compliance with local government requirements.
3. Risk Assessment & Audit Management:
- Conduct routine risk assessments across all business areas to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with third-party specialists to perform mandatory audits and risk assessments, including Fire Safety, Working at Height, COSHH, and industrial equipment inspections (where applicable).
- Maintain tools and systems for tracking legal updates, audit schedules, and accident/incident records.
4. Training & Awareness:
- Provide, schedule, and report on all environmental, safety, and chemical handling training.
- Conduct Health & Safety inductions for new employees and ensure ongoing re-inductions as needed.
- Identify and address employee training needs in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Ensure site first-aid capabilities are maintained, with adequate training for identified first-aiders.
5. Sustainability Initiatives:
- Promote and enhance recycling activities across the organization.
- Exceed the minimum sustainability standards as outlined in IDEMIA’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
6. Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Partner with internal teams and external entities to strengthen EHS initiatives, audits, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Share key insights and improvements with management to foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Occupational Safety, or a related field (preferred).
- Certification in EHS disciplines such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM).
- Proven experience in EHS management, ISO certifications, and compliance with global health and safety standards.
