Key Responsibilities
As an HSE&C Specialist, you will be at the forefront of safety-critical initiatives. Your responsibilities include:
Safety Systems & Processes
- Supporting and implementing Control of Work (CoW) systems.
- Conducting field verifications and overseeing contractor activities.
- Leading investigations and promoting organizational learning.
- Managing contractor processes end-to-end, ensuring compliance.
Risk & Compliance Management
- Facilitating Operational Management Systems (OMS) and risk processes, including the Performance Improvement Cycle (PIC).
- Monitoring compliance and conducting self-verification and assurance activities.
- Providing analytical insights through HSE reporting systems.
Advisory & Mentorship
- Guiding regional operation teams on safety processes and systems.
- Serving as a key interface for CoW expertise, investigations, and risk management.
- Offering timely guidance on health and safety rules, regulations, and procedures.
Behavioral & Proactive Safety
- Maintaining a behavioral safety program such as Safety Observation Conversations.
- Acting as the regional Learning Lead to share lessons learned and proactively prevent incidents.
Policy Development
- Creating and managing safety and health policies/programs.
- Supporting the Lead HSE&C Specialist during peak workload periods.

- HSE Experience: Proven track record in dynamic environments, managing priorities, and advising on safety at maintenance/construction sites.
- Contractor Oversight: Strong ability to influence and collaborate with contractors.
- Management Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with HSE management systems and BP/OSHA requirements.
- Strategic Thinking: Capable of balancing operational and strategic demands.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent networking, facilitation, and influencing abilities to engage stakeholders across all levels.
- Program Management: Skilled in managing multiple priorities, delivering results, and adapting to unexpected events.
- Behavioral Insights: Demonstrated ability to build trust, listen to diverse perspectives, and foster a culture of safety.
- Agility: Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
