Key Responsibilities
- Apply and maintain company policies aligned with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Assist in the planning and enhancement of facility designs, workflow layouts, and operational procedures with HSE improvements in mind.
- Draft, revise, and update HSE manuals, procedures, and documentation to meet compliance standards.
- Monitor regulatory updates and ensure full organizational alignment with evolving EHS laws and best practices.
- Serve as the main liaison with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies concerning compliance matters.
- Utilize industry-standard safety practices and methodologies to support a proactive risk management culture.
- Report directly to the Phoenix Engines HSE&F Leader and contribute to site-wide safety leadership.
Qualifications – U.S. Person Requirement
Due to export compliance regulations, candidates must qualify as a U.S. Person. This includes U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents (Green Card holders), or individuals granted asylum or refugee status within the United States.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years in a health and safety-related role.
- High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Skills and Attributes
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with key safety programs: Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, electrical safety, PPE, hot work permits, confined space protocols, and fall protection systems.
- Exposure to industrial hygiene practices, hazard assessments, and workplace exposure monitoring.
- Ability to communicate effectively—both verbally and in writing—across diverse teams.
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Visio for safety data management and reporting.
