Key Responsibilities

  • Policy Implementation & Compliance: Develop, implement, and maintain company policies ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations.
  • Facility Design & Safety Recommendations: Participate in the design and development of facilities, workspaces, and procedures, providing expert EHS recommendations to optimize safety and efficiency.
  • Policy & Procedure Management: Prepare, maintain, and update comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policy and procedure manuals in alignment with industry standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance Oversight: Monitor and ensure compliance with all EHS regulations while staying updated on any changes to laws that may affect organizational policies and practices.
  • Regulatory Agency Liaison: Act as the primary contact with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies to maintain clear and compliant communication.
  • Industry Expertise: Leverage a strong understanding of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the EHS field to guide organizational strategies.
  • Team Collaboration: Operate under the supervision of the Phoenix Engines HSE&F Leader to support organizational safety initiatives effectively.

U.S. Person Requirements

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws, candidates must meet the criteria of a U.S. Person. This includes being a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or having protected status under asylum or refugee laws.


Required Qualifications (YOU MUST HAVE)

  • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years in Health & Safety practices.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications (WE VALUE)

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management or a related field.
  • Industry Experience: Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and their application.
  • Safety Program Expertise: Experience in supporting key safety programs, including LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), machine guarding, electrical safety, PPE, hot work, confined space entry, and fall protection.
  • Industrial Hygiene: Proficiency in industrial hygiene practices to promote a safe workplace.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities to effectively convey EHS policies and recommendations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Visio to create detailed reports and documentation.
