Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and experienced HSE Officer to implement, monitor, and continuously improve Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies across our plant operations in India. This role plays a critical part in driving compliance, promoting a strong EHS culture, and ensuring a safe and sustainable work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate in rotational, round-the-clock shifts to ensure continuous HSE coverage

  • Champion and improve workplace safety metrics and EHS performance indicators

  • Deliver safety trainings for staff and contract workers

  • Monitor employee health and workplace safety compliance

  • Drive and implement environmental initiatives for plant operations

  • Manage exterior plant areas with a focus on safety and orderliness

  • Maintain and manage all documentation related to HSE compliance

  • Liaise with government authorities including MPCB, DISH, MIDC, and the Fire Department

  • Ensure smooth operation of the WWTP and full compliance with EHS regulations

  • Conduct incident investigations and lead root cause analysis (RCA)

  • Ensure GEHSMS (Global Environment, Health & Safety Management Systems) compliance and continuity

  • Oversee onboarding safety orientation and issue safety cards to new and returning employees

  • Perform routine inspections of work permits and ensure adherence to safety protocols

  • Identify, document, and report unsafe acts, near-misses, and hazardous conditions

  • Coordinate with relevant teams on incident investigations and corrective actions

  • Prepare MIS reports and manage EHS-related administrative tasks

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in any branch of Engineering or Technology

  • Professional Certification: Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS) from MSBTE or Central Labour Institute (CLI)

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on industry experience in an HSE role

  • Language Skills: Proficiency in Marathi is mandatory
