Requirements to step into the role
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a safety role within the construction industry
- 5+ years preferred in construction safety management
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification (or the ability to obtain within set time)
- OSHA 510 and 500 training preferred
- BCSP Certification such as CHST, ASP, or CSP is highly valued
- Familiarity with US Army Corps of Engineers project standards is a plus
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or Construction preferred
- Skill in identifying and resolving jobsite hazards typical to the construction environment
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to lead safety trainings
- Willingness to travel 60% of the time across the U.S., with rotations home every 4–6 weeks
