Flowserve Corporation is hiring a skilled HSE Coordinator to lead health, safety, and environmental operations at its manufacturing unit in Tamil Nadu, India. This role is ideal for a safety professional who thrives in an engineering production environment and is committed to building a proactive safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate the site’s safety committee to drive consistent HSE excellence through communication and strong leadership.
  • Conduct thorough incident investigations focused on root cause analysis, implementing corrective/preventive actions, and documenting lessons learned.
  • Track HSE performance through lagging and leading indicators — provide data analytics and trends to improve safety strategies.
  • Coordinate and deliver training programs on all environmental, health, and safety aspects for employees and new hires.
  • Support department leaders in identifying and applying effective safety improvements that promote a positive safety culture.
  • Serve as co-chair of the Health and Safety Committee — follow up on audit findings and ensure accountability for regulatory compliance.
  • Execute monthly workplace inspections and recommend improvements based on measurable safety benchmarks.
  • Develop and lead emergency evacuation procedures, including employee drills and awareness training.
  • Ensure all environmental compliance reports (air, stormwater, and sewer discharge) are completed accurately and submitted on time.
  • Handle any additional duties as assigned related to safety operations and regulatory compliance.

Requirements & Skills

  • 2–4 years of relevant HSE experience in a manufacturing or engineering setup.
  • Hands-on exposure to compliance audits and safety documentation.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal) and proficiency in Tamil is mandatory.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Advanced computer literacy for report generation and documentation.
  • Proven background in a factory setting with coaching and mentoring abilities.
  • Recognized Engineering degree along with a Diploma/Master’s degree in Industrial Safety as per Tamil Nadu Government rules under the Safety Officers Act.
