An exciting opportunity is now open for an experienced HSE Advisor to join a leading offshore project in Aberdeen, Scotland. This role is essential to driving a strong health, safety, and environmental (HSE) culture across offshore operations.
The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience from FPSO or similar offshore environments, along with internationally recognized certifications. This position offers a fast-track mobilization process and a competitive daily rate based on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct HSE assessments and internal audits to ensure alignment with both local and international safety regulations.
- Lead investigations following incidents or near-misses, documenting root causes and recommending actionable improvements.
- Offer expert HSE support to offshore operational teams, ensuring a proactive approach to safety.
- Design and deliver practical, on-site HSE training programs tailored to offshore working conditions.
- Track and report key HSE performance indicators, identifying trends and implementing enhancements.
- Work alongside project and operations teams to embed a safety-first mindset in daily operations.
Required Skills & Certifications
- HSE Competency: In-depth understanding of current health, safety, and environmental legislation and best practices.
- BOSIET Certification: Valid Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training certification is mandatory.
- Accident Investigation: Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough, structured incident investigations with clear reporting.
Education & Experience
- Recognized qualification in Health, Safety, and Environmental Management (e.g., IOSH or equivalent).
- Up-to-date medical certification and MIST (Minimum Industry Safety Training) credentials.
- Prior experience as an Offshore HSE Advisor on FPSO, oil & gas, or marine construction projects is essential.
