Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Health & Safety Specialist, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting jobsite audits to evaluate safe work practices and procedures.
- Investigating incidents and providing recommendations to prevent reoccurrence.
- Coordinating health and safety training for all employees.
- Contributing to the development of safe work practices and procedures.
- Promoting Black & McDonald’s Internal Responsibility System to strengthen safety culture.
- Facilitating Joint Health & Safety Committee meetings to ensure effective collaboration.
- Ensuring compliance with government and client health and safety regulations.
- Assisting with worker’s compensation claims management.
- Traveling within the Pacific Northwest to support various projects and initiatives.
- Performing additional duties as required to ensure a safe work environment.

Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of safety and health experience in a relevant industry.
Work Experience Requirements:
- Proficient knowledge of OSHA standards and FMCSR regulations.
- Experience in Electrical Transmission and Distribution is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with superior verbal and written communication abilities.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to hold self and others accountable for safety standards.
- Strong aptitude for problem-solving and innovation.
- Willingness to learn and continuously improve safety practices.
