Role Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Assess working conditions by examining job activities, equipment, materials, and employee behaviors to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
- Develop and manage EHS training initiatives, including OSHA General Industry compliance sessions, safety awareness programs, and leadership briefings.
- Execute core EHS functions such as job safety analysis, workplace inspections, safety audits, incident investigations, and compliance assessments.
- Independently manage deadlines and prioritize multiple safety-related tasks with minimal supervision.
- Participate in facility reviews, product development safety assessments, and new machinery installations to ensure regulatory compliance and operational safety.
- Respond to EHS-related emergencies and provide reliable support when urgent action is required.
- Serve as a subject matter expert to both leadership and EHS staff on occupational safety and environmental regulations.
- Interface with local, state, and federal agencies as needed, contributing to regulatory feedback through industry channels.
- Compile and present site safety metrics for leadership teams using platforms like Tableau and Intelex.
- Facilitate Safety Committee operations, ensuring meetings deliver value and drive actionable outcomes.
- Take lead responsibility for EHS matters during the EHS Manager’s absence, including attendance at cross-shift leadership meetings for visibility and alignment.
Experience Required
- 2–5+ years of hands-on experience managing health and safety compliance in large-scale global operations; warehouse setting experience is an advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of Powered Material Vehicles (PMVs) and related safety protocols.
- Solid understanding of OSHA regulations and Tennessee Workers’ Compensation laws.
- Proven success in designing and maintaining sustainable safety programs.
- Strong capability in conducting thorough safety investigations and audits.
- Proficiency in drafting safety alerts, EHS procedures, and compliance policies.
- Experienced in managing compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations.
- Skilled in maintaining safety records and tracking EHS performance metrics.
- Familiarity with training delivery—both in-person and through digital learning systems.

- Physical ability to move through warehouse zones and external workspaces, regardless of weather conditions, to conduct site safety reviews.
