Key Responsibilities

  • Promote Safety Culture: Act as a coach, trainer, and influencer, ensuring the team adheres to safety best practices.
  • Serve as a Liaison: Be the subject matter expert for health and safety, collaborating with the project team and client.
  • Develop & Manage Documentation: Maintain site-specific materials, including Site Safety Plans, Emergency Response Plans, Job Hazard Analyses (JHA), and Site Induction materials.
  • Lead Discussions: Facilitate safety discussions in meetings such as Plan of the Day (POD), All Hands, and Tailgate.
  • Deliver Training: Provide training on safety initiatives, site inductions, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct Inspections & Investigations: Ensure worksite compliance, investigate incidents, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Safety Reporting: Compile reports and safety metrics, assist in audits, and drive the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Support Risk Management: Develop Risk Assessments and Work Instructions while managing safety tools and equipment.
  • Reinforce Safe Practices: Identify and correct unsafe behaviors, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma/GED (required).
  • 1+ year of construction experience (required).
  • Associate’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety (preferred).
  • 5+ years of safety experience in the construction industry (preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in renewable energy safety (preferred).

Certifications

Required: OSHA 30/510 Certification, Valid Driver’s License.

Preferred:

  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
  • First Aid/CPR/AED.
  • CHST, CUSP, OHST, NCSO certifications.
  • ASP, GSP, SMS, CSP, CRSP certifications.
  • OSHA 500 Certification.

Travel Requirements

Domestic and international travel (76-100%).

Salary

Anticipated base salary range: $89,000 – $105,000.
