About the Role:
Company are seeking a proactive Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to join our manufacturing team. This role focuses on developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations while fostering a culture of safety and well-being among all associates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Program Development: Assist in establishing and implementing comprehensive safety programs and processes.
- Incident Investigation: Conduct thorough accident investigations, prepare detailed reports, and recommend preventive measures to reduce risks.
- Hazard Identification: Identify potential safety hazards, recommend policy improvements, and implement preventive measures to minimize workplace injuries and illnesses.
- Environmental Monitoring: Test noise levels, measure air quality, and ensure compliance with environmental standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate safety instruments, clean and inspect respirators, and coordinate respirator fit testing and distribution.
- Employee Training: Train forklift operators for licensing and conduct safety and health compliance training for all employees.
- Field Oversight: Monitor field activities for health and safety compliance, enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and address safety violations.
- Permit Management: Issue and monitor hot work permits, confined space entries, and lockout/tagout permits.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all associates receive OSHA-mandated training and comply with relevant regulations.
- Emergency Preparedness: Develop, implement, and monitor emergency action plans to ensure workplace readiness.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Education & Experience: Associate’s degree (or equivalent) from a two-year college/technical school, with at least two years of related experience; or a combination of education and practical training.
- Industry Knowledge: Previous EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial settings, with a strong understanding of federal and state EHS regulations.
- Skills & Competencies: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in collaborative team environments.
