We are looking for a dedicated HSE Officer to join our Transmission team. This role is pivotal in implementing safe work systems, adhering to safety regulations, and contributing to our continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental practices.
Your Purpose
As a Transmission HSE Officer, you will:
- Assist management in implementing and maintaining robust safety systems aligned with Safety Rules, National Laws, and industry best practices.
- Oversee the activities of the HSEQ section in Transmission to ensure safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations within the Safety Department.
- Facilitate audits for OHSAS 18001:2007 and EMS ISO 14001:2004, ensuring compliance with established processes.
- Generate and share safety statistical reports and graphs within agreed timelines.
- Promote and enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Address environmental issues, including risk assessment of effluents and emissions, while adhering to EPA and other regulatory standards.
- Organize firefighting training programs and ensure the efficient functioning of firefighting systems.
- Encourage a culture of safety and ensure adherence to safe work practices across all teams.
- Prepare and guide staff to handle accidents and disasters effectively.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) or other relevant safety certifications.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HSE Officer.
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with KPIs such as:
- Lost time (hours) due to accidents, including fatalities.
- Monthly safety inspections.
- Firefighting training sessions.
- Strong understanding of risk control and management.
- Well-versed in safety equipment and environmental compliance.
