Key Responsibilities
- Promote personal responsibility for health and safety while advancing performance-driven strategies
- Support the rollout and implementation of HSE mandates in coordination with management
- Assist with HSE operations across assigned locations, ensuring adherence to site-specific policies
- Develop, revise, and support the execution of HSE plans tailored to project requirements
- Monitor compliance with regulatory and client-specific HSE standards through site visits and inspections
- Recommend corrective actions and follow up on implementation and effectiveness
- Facilitate jobsite HSE training programs and orientation sessions for new hires
- Analyze safety performance data, inspection reports, and compliance surveys to identify trends
- Assist in root cause analysis and development of preventive actions for incidents
- Oversee PPE procurement and training requirements
- Support first aid and emergency medical response coordination on-site
- Engage in Realizing Zero – Zero Harm initiatives and actively participate in HEART and PTSA audits
- Contribute to project readiness reviews, risk assessments, and safety execution planning (SEP)
- Maintain involvement with HSE networks and share best practices and lessons learned
Required Education
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in safety or related discipline preferred
- 2 years of technical HSE training or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
- Minimum 3 years of relevant HSE experience
- Advanced HSE or medical certifications preferred
- Proficient in safety-related data analysis and planning tools
- Familiarity with HSE management systems, training programs, and compliance metrics
- Experience with Wood HSE policies and systems is beneficial
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills
- Ability to lead safety audits, conduct inspections, and support regulatory compliance
