Air Liquide is looking for a dedicated HSE Specialist to join its operations in Schwechat, Lower Austria. This opportunity is perfect for a motivated safety professional ready to influence workplace safety culture across multiple production sites in the chemical industry.

️ Your Mission

  • Develop and maintain the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) program in collaboration with the risk and quality teams.
  • Advise leadership on occupational safety and health matters, ensuring risks are managed through clear action plans at operational sites.
  • Conduct hazard assessments to promote safe practices and reinforce life-saving rules across the organization.
  • Oversee incident reporting and investigations, define corrective measures, and ensure follow-up implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with Austrian HSE laws and standards, liaising with relevant authorities when necessary.
  • Design and implement security plans for employees and facilities (employee and site security).

Your Profile

  • Educational background in mechanical engineering, chemistry, or a related technical field.
  • Operational experience in production environments, ideally within the chemical or process industries.
  • Certified in occupational safety (minimum: Safety Specialist or equivalent recognized qualification).
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills with a passion for promoting safety culture.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
  • Self-motivated and collaborative — thrives in a team-oriented, cross-functional environment.
  • Fluent in both German and English, written and spoken.
