Position Overview
Cintas is seeking a qualified Safety Coordinator in Chicago, Illinois to oversee workplace safety, training, and regulatory compliance. This role is responsible for driving continuous improvement in safety programs across operations, including warehouse environments and delivery routes.
️ Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement corporate safety initiatives and compliance programs across departments.
- Conduct safety training sessions, including physical lifting, bending, and stretching procedures.
- Lead safety awareness campaigns and ensure all work-related accidents are properly reported.
- Execute safety audits and checklist reviews in alignment with the Corporate Safety Manual.
- Ride along with Route Service Sales Representatives to assess field-level safety practices.
- Work hands-on in the production warehouse to monitor safety compliance and assist with physical duties.
- Assist in lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading products at customer accounts and within the plant.
Candidate Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must meet DOT requirements for operating regulated vehicles over 10,000 lbs:
- Valid driver’s license
- Minimum age of 21
- DOT medical certification
- Previous employment verification
