Position Summary
Arcosa Inc is hiring a Health & Safety-Supt II based in Caruthersville, Missouri. This position plays a key role in managing workplace safety programs, administering first aid, ensuring OSHA and EPA compliance, and responding to emergencies in a heavy manufacturing environment.
️ What You’ll Do
- Prepare and maintain records of occupational injuries and illnesses for regulatory compliance.
- Administer first aid and coordinate emergency medical response for injured employees.
- Transport injured personnel to medical facilities when necessary.
- Conduct audits of plant and shop areas to identify and correct safety hazards.
- Ensure continued compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and company safety standards.
- Monitor employee work practices, PPE usage, and general housekeeping conditions.
- Address and investigate safety-related employee complaints.
- Issue, track, and maintain inventory of safety equipment and supplies.
- Monitor environmental conditions such as fumes, hazardous waste, and ventilation systems.
- Compile and submit reports required by safety and environmental regulations.
- Respond to workplace safety and security emergencies as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a health and safety role in an industrial setting.
- First Aid/CPR/AED certification required.
- Strong understanding of OSHA, DOT, and EPA safety regulations.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications and maintaining digital records.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills for working across departments.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Reliable attendance and flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
