Owens Corning is seeking an EHS Coordinator in Savannah, GA to support environment, health, and safety operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is key to sustaining a safety-first culture, overseeing EHS training, data tracking, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
️ Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with EHS Lead and Plant Leadership to align local safety strategies with company-wide EHS initiatives.
- Develop and implement safety procedures including risk assessments, training, emergency plans, and compliance tracking.
- Lead safety-related training programs in partnership with internal departments and track participation through EHS databases.
- Monitor and improve EHS performance metrics using charts, graphs, and reports.
- Conduct hazard analyses, behavior observations, and facility safety audits regularly.
- Support incident and near-miss investigations and coordinate Learning from Incidents (LFI) processes.
- Inspect and maintain emergency equipment, PPE inventory, and lockout/tagout supplies.
- Perform EHS orientations for contractors, visitors, and all new hires at the facility.
- Review safety practices of contractors to ensure compliance with Owens Corning’s safety standards.
- Promote TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) implementation and lead EHS Vice Pillar initiatives.
- Submit work requests related to observed safety concerns or maintenance issues.
- Complete all EHS-related documentation and reports accurately and on time.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in EHS coordination within a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in industrial hygiene, engineering, environmental science, or related field.
- Experience implementing OSHA, EPA, and general industry EHS regulations.
- Ability to coach employees and supervisors on safe behaviors and EHS compliance.
- Comfortable conducting training sessions, including PIV/forklift certifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data-driven EHS reporting.
