Core Responsibilities

- Conduct routine audits and inspections to assess compliance with legal requirements, internal procedures, and best practices.
- Assist in developing and delivering SHEQ training sessions for staff, contractors, and external stakeholders, ensuring consistent awareness of responsibilities and controls.
- Contribute to risk assessments by identifying hazards, evaluating risks, and recommending effective mitigation measures for ongoing operations and new projects.
Experience & Knowledge Required
- Previous experience in a SHEQ coordination or similar compliance-based role, ideally within construction, utilities, or another regulated sector.
- Working knowledge of SHEQ management systems and a strong grasp of health, safety, and environmental regulations in the UK.
- Ability to interpret and apply regulatory standards to real-world scenarios with accuracy and practicality.
- Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail—critical for managing audit findings, incident logs, and procedural updates.
- Effective communicator, both in writing and in person, capable of working closely with employees, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
- Collaborative team player with a flexible mindset and a professional approach to working across departments and functional teams.
- Relevant qualifications in occupational health & safety, quality assurance, or environmental management are advantageous but not essential.
