Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and distribution of health, safety, and environmental communication across notice boards and internal platforms.
- Collaborate with site managers to prepare and review assessments for tasks, COSHH, manual handling, noise, and fire risks.
- Assist in investigating incidents, near misses, and safety concerns—identify root causes and help implement corrective measures.
- Ensure contractors operate under approved Risk Assessments and Method Statements, supporting the site’s contractor control process.
- Work closely with the Site HSE Manager to plan and deliver internal audit programs.
- Respond promptly and professionally to HSE-related inquiries or requests from departments and site personnel.
- Participate in emergency procedures and evacuation drills, ensuring compliance with site-wide incident protocols.
- Provide general administrative support to the HSE function, including document reviews and safety record maintenance.
- Track and support energy use, waste reduction initiatives, and environmental record-keeping.
- Compile and distribute recurring HSE reports, highlighting trends and compliance indicators.
- Prepare content and take minutes during internal HSE meetings and stakeholder reviews.
- Maintain ongoing communication with external service providers (ISS, Xerox, DXC) regarding HSE-related topics and requirements.
What You’ll Bring
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent Health & Safety qualification (minimum requirement).
- IEMA Certificate or NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate (or equivalent environmental qualification).
- Strong ability to communicate HSE standards clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
- Comfortable working in a multi-stakeholder environment and collaborating across departments and contractor teams.
