Key Responsibilities
- Review and approve HSE documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and safety plans submitted by contractors.
- Carry out routine site inspections to detect hazards, verify safety control measures, and enforce compliance with client safety protocols.
- Conduct HSE inductions and toolbox talks tailored to specific project activities and contractor responsibilities.
- Enforce safety protocols for hot work, confined space entry, working at height, and environmental controls.
- Lead investigations into incidents and near misses—identify root causes, record findings, and ensure corrective measures are executed.
- Maintain detailed logs of inspections, safety violations, permits, and follow-up actions.
- Support fire drill coordination and emergency preparedness planning, including evacuation procedures and emergency routes.
- Coordinate with internal safety teams, consultants, and local regulatory bodies to ensure full statutory compliance.
- Contribute to the continuous enhancement of health, safety, and environmental best practices across all tenant fit-out works.
- Ensure waste management, environmental protection, and noise control measures are fully implemented at project sites.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5 to 7 years of HSE experience within construction, interior fit-out, or real estate development sectors, ideally in the UAE.
- NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or a similar HSE credential is mandatory.
- In-depth knowledge of UAE labor laws, Dubai Municipality EHS regulations, and global HSE standards such as ISO 45001 and OSHA.
- Proven expertise in conducting site inspections, preparing risk assessments, and facilitating incident reporting protocols.
- Excellent communication and observational skills with strong reporting capabilities.
- Previous experience working with master developers or in large-scale property portfolios is considered a major advantage.
- Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are considered a plus.
