A dynamic opportunity is open for a detail-oriented individual seeking a role as an HSE Coordinator in one of Canada’s most respected construction environments. This position plays a critical role in fostering a safe and compliant job site while contributing to environmental stewardship and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Plan and ensure alignment with regulatory standards and safe work practices.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of project-specific HSE training initiatives tailored to field conditions.
  • Provide HSE insights, trends, and safety observations to project teams, helping shape actionable safety plans.
  • Contribute to the design and rollout of hazard identification tools that proactively minimize risk.
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure timely implementation of corrective measures where needed.
  • Aid in the activation and oversight of emergency response procedures and monitor site security requirements.
  • Collaborate with trade contractors by reviewing safety documentation and verifying compliance with HSE expectations.
  • Monitor inspection routines for tools and equipment, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to safety standards.
  • Promptly report any incidents and play an active role in supporting investigations.
  • Build constructive working relationships across the project team and with stakeholders to promote a safety-first culture.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Progressing toward a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • On track to earn a recognized safety designation.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in the construction sector, preferably in an HSE-focused role.
  • Willingness to learn construction-specific terminology and safety processes.
  • Familiarity with relevant OH&S and environmental legislation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities, especially in safety presentations and documentation.
  • Capable of resolving conflicts and encouraging collaboration among teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with enthusiasm for adapting to new safety technologies.
