This position plays a pivotal role in maintaining and elevating Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards across multiple contracts and site operations.

  • Deliver clear, practical HSE advice, guidance, and support across contracts and work sites.
  • Ensure robust HSE standards are in place before and during contract execution, with continuous development to meet both legal and industry requirements.
  • Drive a strong, positive HSE culture by addressing potential concerns proactively and effectively.
  • Provide expert support across all HSE domains within operations and onshore facilities.
  • Monitor, measure, and report HSE performance, aligned with both company and client protocols.
  • Represent the business in HSE discussions with contractors and clients.
  • Advise operational and contract teams on HSE compliance and Business Management System standards.
  • Conduct offshore audits, inspections, and workforce engagement activities as needed.
  • Offer qualified guidance during incident investigations and assist in tracking corrective actions through closure.
  • Support project teams with HSE planning and compliance.
  • Keep HSE procedures up to date in line with changing legislation and best practices.
  • Champion the implementation and use of effective HSE systems and initiatives.
  • Track and promote key HSE performance indicators.
  • Contribute to the evolution of a strong safety culture throughout Bilfinger UK.
  • Deliver HSE-related training when required.
  • Develop project interface documentation and detailed HSE plans.
  • Manage occupational health data, including HAVS and skin check returns, sharing insights with mobilisation teams.
  • Review work packs and ensure appropriate control measures are brought to the attention of the project lead.
  • Support additional duties as delegated by the HSE Manager to maintain smooth operations.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in offshore HSE roles within the energy or industrial sectors.
  • Demonstrated success in a similar advisory capacity.
  • NEBOSH Diploma or an equivalent HSE qualification.
  • Environmental certification, such as IEMA.
  • Valid BOSIET certification and Offshore Medical.
  • Knowledge of occupational hygiene and monitoring techniques (preferred).
