Are you passionate about safety, compliance, and creating a healthier work environment? Cpl is hiring a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer to join our team at a leading industrial site based in County Cork, Ireland.
As our new HSE Advisor, you’ll work closely with the Site Lead and Regional HSE Manager to champion health and safety initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a strong culture of safety on site. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Ensure site compliance with current HSE legislation, internal standards, and industry best practices.
- Develop, review, and manage Risk Assessments (RAs) and Safe Working Operating Procedures (SWOPs).
- Deliver comprehensive site inductions and HSE training for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Lead incident investigations, including root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective actions.
- Conduct routine internal audits and safety inspections while maintaining up-to-date HSE documentation.
- Coordinate the site safety committee and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Manage PPE inventory and support teams in identifying hazards and implementing controls.
- Continuously contribute to the development and review of the site safety plan.
What We’re Looking For
- Relevant HSE qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of H&S and environmental legislation in industrial settings.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage across all levels of the organisation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- A self-starter with great time-management and organisational skills.
