What You’ll Do – Key Responsibilities
✅ Site Safety & Compliance Oversight

Conduct daily safety walks and ensure all site operations meet HSE standards and local regulations.

Enforce use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and compliance with safety procedures.

Proactively identify and correct unsafe conditions related to civil and mechanical solar installation works.
Safety Training & Culture Building

Lead toolbox talks, emergency drills, and on-site HSE training sessions.

Onboard new team members with tailored safety orientation programs.

Promote a “Safety First” culture where every voice is heard, and every risk is addressed.
Incident Management & Root Cause Analysis

Investigate accidents, near-misses, and unsafe practices—identify causes and implement preventive measures.

Maintain accurate reports for internal review and legal compliance.

Ensure timely escalation of incidents to senior management and statutory authorities.
⚠️ Risk Assessment & Hazard Control

Conduct comprehensive risk assessments of mechanical, civil, and electrical operations.

Update and implement mitigation plans in response to changing site activities.

Keep risk registers and safety plans relevant, real, and ready.
Audits, Inspections & Regulatory Engagement

Perform regular safety audits, equipment checks, and worksite inspections.

Coordinate with third-party safety auditors and government inspectors.

Maintain a log of all inspections, non-conformities, and follow-up actions.
Emergency Preparedness & Readiness

Develop emergency response plans and lead safety drills.

Ensure fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and emergency equipment are always accessible and operational.

Train team members on roles and responsibilities in emergencies.
Documentation & Reporting

Maintain safety documentation including SOPs, training logs, inspection records, and compliance reports.

Submit weekly/monthly HSE performance reports to management.

Ensure adherence to ISO, OSHA, and NEBOSH safety documentation standards.
What You Bring – Required Qualifications
Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or Engineering.

NEBOSH certification preferred; OSHA or equivalent certifications are an advantage.
Experience:

5–6 years as an HSE Officer or Safety Officer in solar energy or infrastructure projects.

Proven track record in site-based safety implementation, especially on large-scale projects.

Strong command over local safety laws and international HSE practices.
Technical Skills:

Proficient in HSE management systems and safety audit tools.

Excellent in delivering engaging HSE training and creating clear, actionable safety reports.

Familiar with emergency planning and incident response frameworks.
