Responsibilities
- Foster, uphold, and propose for safety as a center value at Vertiv, driving a way of life of safety consciousness.
- Identify, prioritize, and put into effect Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) projects aligned with commercial enterprise goals.
- Collaborate with the Learning & Development group to evaluate, broaden, and implement mandatory EHS education for employees.
- Maintain and beautify information collection and reporting systems for EHS metrics and key performance signs (KPIs).
- Align EHS metrics and quality practices with the Vertiv Operating System (VOS).
- Ensure the set up of latest equipment, machines, workstations, and assembly strains complies with all protection, environmental regulations, and Vertiv satisfactory practices.
- Advise the EHS chief on facility dangers, incidents, corrective actions, applications, and guidelines.
- Monitor and measure environmental impacts to make sure compliance with Vertiv’s environmental guidelines and government policies.
- Establish, oversee, and constantly enhance EHS systems, packages, regulations, and procedures to mitigate dangers and achieve a zero-damage workplace.
- Conduct habitual protection audits, inspections, and danger assessments.
- Manage worker protection programs, along with a safety committee, concept packages, and promotional activities.
- Maintain complete web site protection information, which include Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Job Hazard Analyses (JSA), and Ergonomic Assessments.
- Maintain incident and harm records in compliance with OSHA and Vertiv requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all EPA regulations, which include hazardous/non-risky waste control, stormwater allowing, SARA Title III & EPCRA Title I/II reporting, wastewater discharge, and SPCC Plans.
- Oversee Hazmat delivery registration and vendor settlement control.
- Lead incident investigations to determine root causes and put into effect corrective movements.
- Manage Workers’ Compensation claims and attend hearings as vital.
- Oversee the Emergency and Crisis Management Response Program and support the nearby Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT).
- Primarily a Monday-Friday day shift position, with occasional after-hours or weekend paintings required for off-shift schooling, emergencies, or special circumstances.
- Travel may be necessary for training, move-facility inspections, and audits.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 3+ years of EHS enjoy in production operations or an equivalent area; enjoy in warehousing or kitting (bundling) is favored.
- Working knowledge of Federal DOT policies is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 70E requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of DOT unsafe materials transport regulations.
- Excellent organizational and research abilities.
- Strong analytical, hassle-solving, and choice-making skills, with eager interest to detail and a dedication to excellence.
- Outstanding oral and written communique talents.
- Strong customer support orientation.
- Proven ability to efficiently talk throughout all stages of management and workforce.
