Key Responsibilities
- Champion Health and Safety: Influence leadership to integrate health and safety into every phase of construction.
- Promote Collaboration: Build strong partnerships with SZC, trade partners, and contractor teams to create a zero-harm culture.
- Ensure Compliance: Oversee contractor adherence to CDM Regulations and industry standards.
- Risk Mitigation: Lead reviews on constructability, maintainability, and operability to identify and reduce risks.
- Lead by Example: Provide visible leadership and expert guidance to uphold the highest safety and health standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven Experience: Strong background in large-scale construction or infrastructure projects, with a focus on health, safety, and wellbeing.
- CDM Expertise: Solid knowledge of CDM Regulations and experience collaborating with regulatory bodies such as ONR and HSE.
- Professional Qualifications: NEBOSH or IOSH certifications, with Chartered Membership of IOSH (or actively working towards it).
- Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams effectively.
- Investigation Expertise: Skilled in report writing, evidence gathering, and creating actionable plans with successful closures.
- Commitment to Excellence: Working towards Chartered Membership (CMIOSH) with expertise in lifting, temporary works, and maintaining high safety standards.
