Position Overview
Company is seeking a dedicated Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Supervisor to lead and mentor a team of HSE professionals, ensuring a safe, productive, and environmentally responsible workplace. This role is instrumental in fostering a culture that prioritizes safety, sustainability, and compliance with regulatory standards. Through effective training, strategic programs, and innovative processes, the HSE Supervisor will safeguard the well-being of employees, mitigate environmental risks, and uphold the company’s commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and Mentor: Lead HSE teams on medium to large-scale projects, providing guidance on Total Installed Cost (TIC) initiatives, certifications, and project-specific HSE programs.
- Regulatory Compliance: Interpret and apply local, state, and federal regulations to ensure project designs and operations meet legal and company standards.
- Plan and Execute: Oversee tasks such as Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), Safety Cases (SC), Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA), and Fire Protection Specifications (FPS). Evaluate project needs against regulations for seamless compliance.
- Foster a Safety Culture: Promote the company’s HSE standards, ensuring a productive and secure work environment for all employees.
- Problem-Solving: Analyze complex challenges and propose effective solutions aligned with organizational goals.
- Documentation and Training: Develop and maintain detailed records of HSE initiatives and provide training to ensure team proficiency.
- Sustainability Advocacy: Adhere to and promote the company’s Health, Safety, Environmental, and Sustainability policies.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent global qualification in a relevant field and 4 years of related experience (or 8 years of experience without a degree).
- Proficiency in regulatory knowledge and technical expertise to fulfill job responsibilities.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with management, clients, vendors, contractors, and team members.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage time effectively.
Additional Requirements:
- Commitment to continued professional development through education, conferences, and industry engagement.
- Representation of the company in external HSE organizations.
Preferred Skills:
- Intermediate skills in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Email).
- Strong organizational abilities.
- A valid driver’s license, if necessary.
Compensation Range
$84,000 – $146,000 annually
